What is the Shore Path Speech Therapy Style?
-
Our approach centers around a child's goals within play to increase their attention, engagement, and form a fun environment incorporating their interests. This targets the child's objectives in a more functional and natural context.
-
This approach focuses on a partnership with child and their family by collaborating to ensure that services are responsive to the family’s values, culture, and priorities.
-
Our therapy is centered around cultivating an environment of acceptance and understanding. This approach considers the unique needs, interests, and learning style of each individual. We recognize and build upon the child's strengths and existing skills.
“For a small child there is no division between playing and learning; between the things he or she does just for fun and things that are educational. The child learns while living and any part of living that is enjoyable is also play.”
